Street-Sale on St-Laurent

Montreal is bubbling with the street sale on St-Laurent. Tons of good food is sold outside, and all the bars and clubs will have terrasses on the street. So you can sit out, grab a drink, grab a piri-piri chicken sandwich and enjoy a beautiful Montreal night-out.

Grand Prix F1 in Montreal

I know all media and all the Internet is probably buzzing about the F1 coming this week-end to Montreal, but that doesn't mean that I can't add to the cacophony myself.

Somehow, Americans have decided that the best week-end to invade Montreal is F1 week-end. I guess hosting the only F1 race in North-America has something to do with it, but still, maybe they could come some other week-ends too no?

Regardless, the Montreal Grand-Prix is always lots of fun, as you can see bellow:

MUTEK or the computer generation

Seems like MUTEK, which started in Montreal this week, doesn't only make satisfied costumers.

Yes, it is not obvious to me either that this computer fed population is holding it's ground in the arts world. Somehow, Apple-inspired-steel-design, flashiness and fancy 3d graphics have become synonymous to beautiful and artsy.

Or maybe this computer look and sound generation are the punks of 35 years ago. Maybe I am not understanding them.

Regardless, MUTEK brings lots of interesting music and art in town. I just wish that the point wasn't the pure computerization of sound and visuals. But I guess that's what MUTEK is all about.
